Empowering the Vulnerable to Build Independent Futures

In Bassin Bleu, Helping Hands in Haiti is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by equipping individuals and communities with the tools they need to thrive on their own. We support nine school staff and teachers with monthly stipends of $100 USD to provide consistent, quality education—laying the groundwork for lasting change. An $8,000 USD contribution to a community clinic ensures ongoing access to essential medical care. Our trade school, led by four skilled instructors, teaches practical skills that empower youth to create self-sufficient livelihoods and brighter futures.

To foster local sustainability, we’ve developed a chicken farm and community garden that help families secure their own food sources. We’ve also paid school fees through February, removing financial barriers and enabling children to continue their education—helping them grow into capable, independent adults.

Medical Dental Care

Medical Dental Care

Helping Hands in Haiti provides critical medical and dental care to underserved communities in Tabarre and Bassin Bleu. Our programs offer access to basic healthcare, routine checkups, and emergency treatments that families would otherwise go without. We support local clinics with funding, equipment, and staffing to ensure long-term impact. Health is the foundation of a strong community, and we’re here to strengthen it.

School lunch Program

School lunch Program

We operate a school lunch program in Haiti that feeds hundreds of children each day in Bassin Bleu and Tabarre. For many students, this is the only nutritious meal they receive daily. A full stomach helps children stay focused, energized, and ready to learn. Your support helps us fight hunger and keep kids in school.

Access To Clean Water

Access To Clean Water

Clean water is a basic human right, and we’re working to make it a reality in rural parts of Haiti. Through well installations, filtration systems, and water access points, we help prevent disease and reduce the burden of water collection on families. These efforts improve daily life and health across entire communities. Clean water truly transforms futures.

By providing resources, training, and micro-grants, we help individuals build sustainable income and lift themselves out of poverty. Our programs encourage self-reliance, economic stability, and long-term community growth. Every small business we support is a step toward lasting change.

Helping Hands in Haiti funds trade and primary education programs that prepare students for success. Our trade school equips youth with hands-on skills in fields like carpentry, agriculture, and tailoring—offering real career pathways. We also support primary schools with teacher salaries, school supplies, and tuition assistance. Education is at the heart of everything we do.

After School Athletic Programs

After School Athletic Programs

Our after-school sports and athletic programs keep Haitian youth active, engaged, and off the streets. These programs build discipline, teamwork, and self-confidence while promoting physical health.
